Power BI Developer

£50,000 - £60,000 | 2-3 days per week

A well-established multi-site UK organisation is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to take full ownership of the Power BI platform across the business.

Power BI is already embedded within the organisation. This role aims to professionalise, standardise, and scale reporting, ensuring the platform continues to deliver value without becoming fragmented or difficult to manage.

This is a hands-on technical position offering genuine ownership, rather than a management or reporting support role.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Power BI environment end-to-end, ensuring its reliability and scalability
• Review and enhance existing reports and datasets to improve quality and performance
• Design scalable data models and reusable datasets to support business needs
• Implement standards around governance, security, and performance optimisation
• Collaborate closely with various teams to translate reporting requirements into robust BI solutions
• Support and mentor junior users while maintaining control over standards
• Drive the evolution of Power BI in a structured and sustainable manner

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrable Power BI experience
• Proficient in DAX, data modelling, and Power Query
• Experience working within structured reporting environments
• Confident in engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the business
• A desire for ownership and long-term responsibility of a BI platform
• Industry experience is not essential; all backgrounds are welcome

Package

• Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
• Hybrid working model (typically 2 days on-site per week)
• 25 days annual leave plus service-related increments
