IT Manager

Position: IT Manager
Reporting into: Finance Director
Location: Birmingham

We are working with an exciting tech business, who provide cutting edge mobile technology and support for clinical trials in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors.

As the IT Manager, you will be expected to be the single point of contact internally for all IT-related issues, (1^st/2^nd & 3^rd Line), as well as managing relationships with all 3^rd Party suppliers and business stakeholders, ensuring the smooth running of the business IT function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaison with External IT Suppliers: Establish and maintain a productive working relationship with our 3rd party IT supplier who oversees our infrastructure, ensuring that our IT systems remain robust, secure, and functional.
• IT Support Management: Tackle the day-to-day IT support needs of the company, providing prompt resolutions and ensuring minimal downtime or disruption to our teams.
• Azure Active Directory Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory, ensuring optimal functionality and security at all times.
• Commissioning New Computers: Utilize Autopilot for the setup and deployment of new computers within the company, ensuring that systems are efficiently integrated into our existing network.
• Mobile Device Management: Experience in managing iPhones through InTune MDM is beneficial, ensuring that our mobile workforce remains connected, secure, and productive.
• Windows Virtual Desktop on Azure: Manage and maintain a Windows Virtual Desktop environment on Azure, ensuring seamless access and functionality for our employees.
• Managing the Software Environment: Maintaining overview of software used by the company and the associated licenses and technical support contacts

Required Skills & Experience:

• A strong background in managing Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory.
• Proven experience with commissioning new computers using Autopilot.
• An understanding of managing iPhones using InTune MDM is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the operations of a Windows Virtual Desktop environment on Azure.
• Effective communication skills and can-do attitude
