Interim Finance Director (Exit-Led)
We are working with a high-growth, SME, business services company, which has scaled rapidly and now supports customers nationally, The business is looking to enter a sales process in January.
Our client is seeking an Interim Finance Director to take ownership of financial preparation and delivery through the upcoming transaction. This is a hands on role, working with and supporting the incumbent team and the appointmented Corporate Finance advisers with all requests.
The Interim Finance Director will, lead the finance function through pre-sale preparation and transaction execution, strengthen financial control, governance, and reporting discipline whilst delivering the budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management, financial modelling, value-creation analysis, and scenario planning, monthly management reporting and board-level packs and also act as the primary finance lead with:
o Corporate finance advisers
o Potential buyers
o Financial due diligence teams
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role.
This role will suit an experienced Interim FD or FD-level operator stepping into an exit-led mandate, with:
- Proven involvement in UK sale processes
- Experience in high-growth business services environments
- A hands-on operating style and comfort with detail
- Strong stakeholder presence with boards, advisers, and buyers
- Calm, organised, and resilient under transaction pressure
Exit experience is essential.
