FP&A Analyst
FP&A Analyst - Essex (4 days per week in the office) - £60,000 + 10% bonus
We are working with a highly regarded and growing business seeking an FP&A Analyst to join its team in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant (or 1-2 years post-qualified) looking to step into a commercially focused role with real exposure to senior stakeholders.
The hiring manager is particularly keen to meet candidates trained in Audit (ACA/ACCA), who are now looking to move into a role where they can combine strong technical grounding with genuine business partnering.
This is not just a reporting role - it's an opportunity to add value, influence decision-making, and translate financial information into clear, practical insights for non-finance colleagues. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be working closely with teams across the group.
A little more about the role.....
As the FP&A analyst, you will support the Finance Manager and wider finance team in delivering:
Commercial and financial analysis to support operational decision-making
Monthly management information across core and JV activities
Financial control, including balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining a robust control environment
Half-year and year-end reporting, liaising with Group Finance and external auditors
JV reporting, funding requests and ad hoc analysis
Debtor reporting and cash flow oversight
Review outputs from junior team members (month-end journals, banking journals, funding requests, debtor analysis etc.)
Provide coaching and informal mentoring to junior colleagues
Support continuous improvement initiatives across systems and processes
Partner with regional stakeholders to provide clear financial insight and challenge where appropriate
A little bit about you....
ACA/ACCA qualified (ideally trained in Audit)
Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Newly qualified or up to 2 years post-qualified
Excellent Excel skills
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Commercially aware and naturally inquisitive
High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Team-oriented with the confidence to challenge constructively
This role offers genuine exposure to senior leadership, strong development potential, and the opportunity to build a career in a commercially focused finance environment.
If you're an auditor looking for your first move into industry - or a recently qualified accountant ready to step into a visible, business-facing role - this could be an excellent next step.
