We are partnering with a well-established business in Birmingham to recruit an experienced Financial Controller for a standalone role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled finance professional to take full ownership of the company's financial function, ensuring strong financial management and strategic insight.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management - Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Month-End & Reporting - Oversee month-end close processes and prepare detailed financial reports to support key business decisions.
Accounts Payable & Receivable - Manage cash flow efficiently, overseeing both incoming and outgoing transactions.
Budgeting & Forecasting - Lead financial planning, delivering valuable insights to drive business performance.
Tax & Audit Compliance - Ensure tax obligations are met and liaise with external auditors as the primary finance contact.

What We're Looking For:

✔️ Qualified or Experienced: ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or an experienced QBE with a strong track record in finance.
✔️ Standalone Expertise: Comfortable running a finance function independently.
✔️ Technical & Analytical Strength: Strong Excel skills, financial software proficiency, and in-depth tax and audit knowledge.
✔️ Organisational & Communication Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and engage confidently with stakeholders.
