Finance Assistant
Finance Assistant required for a role on the Birmingham Business Park. You will be working within a finance team to provide support in ensuring that reporting and financial transactions are up to date, timely and accurate.
The successful candidate will be both conscientious and well organised, with a keen eye for detail.
Main Duties:
- Updating daily cashbook and posting corresponding journals on Sage
- Reconciling and Posting credit card transactions
- Processing Supplier Invoices on to Sage and dealing with any queries
- Receipting and reconciling customer receipts and vendor payments
- Processing payments (GBP, USD, EUR) on banking portal via different modes
- Month end reconciliations of suppliers and customers statements
- Payment of staff expenses and reconciling the same
- Raising Overrides / Rebate Invoices on Sage
Personal Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Good communication skills by phone, email and face to face
- Good IT skills, particularly Excel and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, show initiative and prioritise tasks
This role is to start immediately and it will be a temporary to permanent role for the right person
