Assistant Accountant

SF are working exclusively for a highly respected, multi-award-winning leading food manufacturer with a fantastic heritage based in Heanor on a permanent basis as an Assistant Management Accountant. This role offers great opportunity for training and progression for the right candidate.

Job duties:

Support Operations Finance Business Partner with weekly reporting & statistics

Support Operations in the analysis and interpretation of factory performance and overhead expenditure

To challenge the adequacy / accuracy through analytic review

Monitor Site overheads and liaise with departments to ensure the full year forecast is understood and controlled

Support the Operations Finance Business Partner in preparation of weekly variances and P&L reporting

Overall responsibility for the reconciliation and maintaining the Fixed Asset Register

Prepare and complete monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations with associated backing for review with Operations Finance Business Partner

Assist with Month - End duties to prepare Management Accounts for Business Partner to review

The ideal candidate will have the following:

AAT Qualified or equivalent
Team player
Excellent attention to detail
Experience within Month - End duties
